FDA Transparency Initiative

As the first phase in a greater transparency initiative, the FDA launched a web-based resource called FDA Basics, which provides basic information about the Agency and how it does it’s work.  In addition, different Centers and Offices in the Agency will host online sessions where the public can learn more about a topic and ask related questions to senior FDA officials.  Sessions will be announced on the FDA website.  Phases 2 and 3 of this initiative will include more recommendations on how to better enhance public understanding of the FDA’s work, while preserving confidential information, and to heighten the FDA’s transparency to regulated industries.
